Longsys Launch World's 1st 32GB Micro SD

Shenzhen Longsys Electronics Co., Ltd. launched the world's first 32GB MicroSD card on December 13, 2009, which symbols the development of MicroSD capacity to a new step. The performance of this card reaches SDHC Class 6.


With the rapid development of smartphones and 3G networks, mobile phones become much more powerful in functions and users want to store large amounts of digital photos, movies, videos, e-mail, games, and a variety of applications and data files, which all require memory cards with large capacity.


The current SD 2.0 specification MicroSD cards, commonly known as the TF cards, are generally applied on mobile phones with the mainstream capacity of 2GB to 16GB. Because of the small size of MicroSD cards - long 15mm * width 11mm * thickness of 0.8mm, it requires advanced production technology and extremely complicated processes and firmware technology of flash read/write management, especially on the controller and the flash memory wafer grinding, stacking, bundling and packaging technique. Longsys successfully stacked a 9-layer silicon wafer on the thickness no more than the adult nail, became the first one to launch 32GB MicroSD high-capacity products.
