Allocations of network voip bandwidth are based on projected numbers of calls at peak hours. Any over-subscription of voice voip bandwidth can cause a reduction in voice quality. Also, you must set aside adequate voip bandwidth for signaling to ensure that calls are complete and to reduce service interruptions. The formula for calculating total voip bandwidth needed for voice traffic is relatively straightforward. The formula to calculate RTP bearer voice voip bandwidth usage for a given number of phone calls is as follows:

Bits per sec = packet creation rates per sec x packet size x number of calls x 8 bits per sec

Where samples per sec = 1,000 ms / packet creation rate

Example: 2,000 full-duplex G.711 encoded voice channels that have a packet creation

Rate of 20 ms, with a packet size of 200 bytes (40 byte IP header + 160 byte payload)

50 samples per second = 1,000 ms / 20 ms

160 Mbps = 50 x 200 x 2,000 x 8

Note that this number is a raw measure of Voice over IP traffic and does not take in account the overhead used by the transporting media (links between the routers) and data-link layer protocols. Add this raw IP value to that of the overhead to determine the link speeds needed to support this number of calls. Note this value represents only the bearer (voice) content. Signaling voip bandwidth requirements vary depending on the rate at which the calls are generated and signaling protocol used. If a large number of calls are initiated in a relatively short period, the peak voip bandwidth needs for the signaling could be quite high. A general guideline for the maximum voip bandwidth requirement that an IP signaling protocol needs is roughly three percent of all bearer traffic. Using the previous example, signaling voip bandwidth requirements if all 2,000 calls were initiated in one second would be approximately 4.8 Mbps (3 percent of 160-megabits).

With the calculation of bearer and signaling, the total voip bandwidth needed to support two thousand G.711 encoded calls would be an approximate maximum of 164.8 MB. This bandwidth requirement is a theoretical maximum for this specific case. If the parameters change, such as call initiation rate, voice encoding method, packet creation rate, employment of compression, and silence suppression, the voip bandwidth requirements would change as well. With large Voip implementations requiring sizable voip bandwidth, it becomes imperative that the IP network delivers the needed service at predictably high performance.

* Solar Tower - The solar tower is simply a large structure with a boiler (a tank used to heat liquids) at the top. The boiler collects the heat from the sun. It is also referred to as the “central tower” or “power tower”.

* Heliostats - These are movable mirrors that track the sun and reflect the sunlight at the top of the solar tower where the heat is collected. These mirrors move as the sun moves, so as to continuously reflect maximum sunlight toward the tower.

* Heat Transfer Fluid - We use the term “heat transfer fluid” because not all solar towers use the same. Early solar towers used water to collect the heat from the sun. Some solar towers use liquid sodium. Whichever liquid is used, it is referred to as “heat transfer fluid.”

* Heat Storage - Because we still want to generate energy at night after the sun is gone, newer solar towers have methods of storing heat so that it can be used during the night to continue generating electricity.

* Steam Generator - As stated earlier, liquid sodium is now used to collect the heat, and the liquid sodium is then used to generate steam.

* Steam Turbine - This is a generator that uses steam to generate electrical power. This is the same set-up as is used in a conventional power plant.

How Does a Solar Tower Work?

Computer controlled mirrors (called heliostats) follow the sun, adjusting their position as the sun moves, and reflect sunlight toward the top of the solar tower, where a heat collector tank is located. Of course, more than one heliostat is needed, so an arrangement of hundreds or even thousands of heliostats is used.

The combined reflected sunlight of these heliostats can produce temperatures as high as 550 degrees, Celsius at their focal point.

Thus, the liquid inside the boiler is rapidly heated and is then pumped downward into storage tanks, or is pumped directly into to a heat exchanger where it is used to make steam.

The steam produced by the heat exchanger is then led through a steam turbine, which uses the steam to generate electricity.

As an interesting note, liquid sodium can be used as a heat transfer/storage liquid, because of its ability to hold and store heat efficiently. Large storage tanks can be used to hold the heated liquid sodium. The stored “heat” can then be used at night, so as to continue generating steam which is used to generate electricity.

Currently, there are two solar towers in operation using the above design. The 64 MW Nevada Solar One and 11 MW PS10 solar power tower in Spain.

This depth can be increased to 130 feet with an external housing but as is, the sub-compact Stylus SW models are perfect for snorkeling or any other outdoor activity. The SW stands for shockproof, waterproof, and the Stylus is certainly tough. The most sensitive inner works are suspended within a metal case that can survive 220 pounds of pressure, plus its freeze-proof as well.

Aside from very small size and slightly higher cost, the Olympus models differ in that they offer more features, but have shallower waterproof ratings. However they are plenty waterproof for use as an outdoor sports camera, and if you also want to scuba dive with it just get an external housing. The SeaLife Mini may appeal more to divers who can kill two birds at once since it’s rated to 130 feet with no additional housing.

CNC stands for computer numerical control and is basically the use of a computer to do certain types of operations. This is a process that can be applied to lathe, router, foam cutters and laser machines; it can also be applied to mini versions of these types of machines.

There are basically two types of categories that G Code Programming will fall into point to point positioning or continuous path positioning. Usually a computer can execute both types of CNC Programming depending on the sophistication of the software program being used. This means that the operator must understand both processes in order to run the machine.

Here is a simple explanation of these two categories:

Point to point positioning — this category is mostly used when drilling, boring, punching or tapping is needed. This is a process used to position from one point to another when the machine process is being done. In other words, it works from the X to the Y position or to as many positions as it is instructed and keeps going until the process is finished.

Continuous path positioning — this category is generally used when a lathe or milling machine is being used and is used for contouring (contouring is another name for this category). This means that the cutting tool moves in a continuous motion from one point to another until the piece is completed. This means that the operator has to be able to program the machine so that it continues on several axes at a time and simultaneously.

Continuous path positioning also uses a series of processes called interpolation which is the way in which the machine is programmed to go. Interpolation can be helical, parabolic, cubic, circular and more. The basic function of this interpolation is to keep the programmed information stored and to monitor and direct the axes in how it should go.

Before any of the programming can be done there is a manuscript that is used which is the basic drawing of what is to be made. This must be studied to make sure that the operator understands the intricacies of the drawing so they can translate the information into the computer software they are using.

Cnc Programming Tips And Tricks

I bought a high def TV, and when I view normal TV programming or even DVD movies it seems like a waste of my time. I do not even think it’s a good way to spend my time really. I’d rather be reading or something like that as opposed to watching poor definition television. There are HD channels available, so that makes it better, but still I wish everything looked like blu-ray DVDs.

Many people don’t buy blu-ray discs because they think they are prohibitively expensive. Yeah sure you pay a little more, but the quality is so worth it. They aren’t really overly costly. You can buy blu-ray movies if you look for them. They really aren’t that expensive. One thing they are though is worth every penny. I would buy blu-ray movies even if they were $100 each. Quality is what I look for over price.

Considering how far tech has come in such a short time I can’t imagine where it will be in another 20 or even 40 years. In reality pouring over all that stuff in your mind is of no value. I’ll just talk about the here and now. This is my reasoning why I don’t understand why people don’t pay the little more for the quality
