Well this new hobby of photography, has left you with the question of how to take good pictures? It has the newest tech in digital pictures. Your mind is stimulated with this new pastime. It’s an ideal hobby to enjoy for yourself and family.
A digital camera is going to utilize new technology that your old camera does not have. All you need is some basic understanding in its operation and use. Do not worry about this digital camera, you will pick it up before you know it.
I will start with some basic info on the digital camera. Digital images are store in what are called pixels. Most often in mega pixels, a picture is often not less than 3 mega pixels, for a 3×5 print out to be clear. So something in the range of a 11×18 picture you would be looking for 6 to 7 mega pixel range. A good all around digital camera would have to be about 5 mega pixel range.
The next topic is storage of the picture taken. The picture taken with your camera will be needed to be stored in the camera until you can get to your pc to download it. All memory cards have the same physical size, but inside the memory card is different. Often the sizes are different like 32MB, 64MB, 1GIG or even 2 GIG. The size of the card is what determines the amount of photos you can store in the camera.
Well just about every digital camera is run on batteries these days. Some cameras are more power hungry than others, so invest into a battery charger with rechargeable batteries. Also extra sets of batteries help a great deal.
Turning on a digital camera works in either two ways. One way is a simple power on button. The other is when the lens cover is opened, the camera turns on. Just check out your manual that came with your camera, if you have questions.
Once you have figured out how to turn your camera on, it will most likely have some type of indicator light. That indicator light will light up when the digital camera is ready to take a photo. One thing to take note of the button you press in order to take that snap shot is if you press it half way down the camera will auto focus on the the image it sees thur the lens.
The one thing I like most about a digital camera is viewing your picture after taking them. All you have to do is look into the view finder to check out the photo you just took. If you should not like the photo just delete it and start over.
The last thing I am going to tell you in this article is to take the time to install the software that came with your new digital camera. Get yourself acquainted with the software you will learn a great deal about your camera. Most digital camera today are equipped with a USB cable in order to load the photos you have taken for easy downloading into your PC.
